Come sit with us, as people have done for centuries, and let sound carry us somewhere ancient. Myths and Chants of India is an evening built around oral tradition: sacred stories, mantras, and bhajans, passed down voice to voice, generation to generation.
Rooted in the spirit of Śruti, wisdom received through listening, we'll explore how the human voice becomes a channel, resonating in places words alone can't reach. Like storytellers and singers before us, we'll keep the old flame alive: myths and teachings that have traveled with humanity for ages, simply by being spoken and sung.
Through stories like the heroism of Ganesha, the enduring love of Sita and Rama, and the mystical dances of Krishna and the gopis, we'll uncover the universal truths woven into these narratives. And along the way, between song and story, we'll honor the role of the teacher as a guide on our own path.
This is an invitation to feel, to remember, and to reconnect: voice, heart, and the sacred, all in one room. Because in every word and every note, something ancient still echoes within us.
Ramiro Ventura was introduced to yoga over nineteen years ago. Since then, he has consistently dedicated himself to its practice and, since 2010, to its teaching.
His passion for studying yoga and his calling to share it led him to travel to India seven times; he had the opportunity to practice at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and the Sharath Yoga Center. In mid-2018, he received Level II authorization to teach the method from his teacher Sharath Jois, whom he had the opportunity to assist during his subsequent trips to Mysore in 2019, 2022, and 2024.
His training in accompanying therapeutic processes through the tool of yoga continues to deepen and also includes knowledge of Ayurveda, anatomy, Chinese medicine, Vedanta philosophy, anthroposophy, doula training, ontological coaching, and transgenerational therapy.
