A series of workshop for anyone curious about Ashtanga Yoga, not just the postures, but the roots beneath them — the breath, the discipline, the living tradition that holds it all together.
Over three sessions, we build understanding of breath, movement, attention and the structure of the Ashtanga practice. Expect a mix of direct experience, theory, and space to ask questions and reflect together. Each session opens with a beginner-friendly practice, guided at first.
Gradually, we ease into the Mysore format — the traditional way of teaching Ashtanga, where each of us learns to find our own rhythm within the sequence.
Along the way, we'll explore:
No experience needed. No flexibility required. Just a willingness to show up. This workshop is built to give you a solid, honest foundation — a way to begin (or deepen) your practice safely, mindfully, and at your own pace.
Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the very first time or looking to go deeper into the Ashtanga method, these three sessions are an invitation: into a tradition far bigger than the shapes we make with our bodies, and into a closer relationship with breath, awareness, and daily practice.
Ramiro Ventura was introduced to yoga over nineteen years ago. Since then, he has consistently dedicated himself to its practice and, since 2010, to its teaching.
His passion for studying yoga and his calling to share it led him to travel to India seven times; he had the opportunity to practice at the Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and the Sharath Yoga Center. In mid-2018, he received Level II authorization to teach the method from his teacher Sharath Jois, whom he had the opportunity to assist during his subsequent trips to Mysore in 2019, 2022, and 2024.
His training in accompanying therapeutic processes through the tool of yoga continues to deepen and also includes knowledge of Ayurveda, anatomy, Chinese medicine, Vedanta philosophy, anthroposophy, doula training, ontological coaching, and transgenerational therapy.
In addition to practicing Ashtanga Yoga, Ramiro has trained as a dancer in classical Indian dance (Bharatnatyam) and contemporary dance. He has also had repeated opportunities to travel to various cities in Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, Panama, Italy, and England to teach Ashtanga Yoga classes and workshops.
Come as you are, and leave with fresh inspiration for your path. We hope to see you there!
