Somatic Yin Workshop

A grounded, body-led way to deepen your Yin practice.

Somatic Yin is more than “stretching slowly.” It’s an approach that helps you reconnect with your body from the inside out through subtle somatic micro-movements and a functional Yin practice that prioritizes feeling over form.

In this accessible, no-nonsense workshop (open to all levels and all yoga backgrounds), you’ll learn how somatic awareness can transform the way you move, pause, and sense. Instead of pushing your body into shapes, you’ll practice letting movement and alignment arise from within, guided by sensation, reflex, and nervous system feedback.

This workshop is taught by Vicky Vriesacker, who is trained in SATYA – Somatics (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement), and brings that therapeutic, body-led lens into Yin in a way that’s clear, practical, and deeply supportive.

We finish with a functional Yin session where the question isn’t “Does it look right?” but “Does it feel supportive?”
After the subtle inner work of somatic movement, longer-held Yin shapes help you integrate so you can sense how your body responds when you slow down and truly listen.
