Embark on a transformative journey with our breath ceremonies, a space to reconnect with your authentic self through the powerful practice of breath work. Our seven ceremonies are offered in two packages. The first focuses on opening and balancing the upper energy centers (eyes, jaw, and throat), while the second delves deep into the core of your being (heart, belly, and pelvis). Led by our experienced facilitators, Jan, Arne, and Sarah, these ceremonies offer a safe, welcoming space for self-discovery and healing where you can show up exactly as you are.
1. Releasing Ocular Tension: Bringing back the Sparkles in your Eyes (14/11/2025 –Jan & Arne)
Our eyes are windows to the soul. You can understand a lot about a person by looking into their eyes. But the radiance can be obscured by disturbing events. The ocular belt, located around the eyes, forehead, and temples, often holds tension. This impacts the way we see the world, creating stuck thought patterns and an alert nervous system. Releasing tension in this area enables clear vision and a more curious openness towards life.
In this session we guide you through exercises that relax the muscles that move the eyelids, eyeballs, and eye brows so that the sparkliness in your eyes can return and light up yourself and the people around you.
2. Unclenching the Jaw: ExpressingFreely (12/12/2025 – Sarah & Arne)
The jaw, mouth, teeth, and tongue are some of our most important physical tools to internalize the outside world (ingesting, inhaling) and to externalize our inner world(speaking, singing). These profound experiences are highly influenced and conditioned by our individual upbringing and the culture we live in. Emotions like anger, rage, and resentment, but also vulnerability and sadness often get stuck here. Shutting your mouth when it didn’t feel safe to speak up, or suppressing authentic expression, can lead to jaw clenching, teeth grinding, and facial tension.
In this session we will guide you through gentle techniques to unlock tension in the jaw and face, and support you in finding genuine connection within. Be prepared to show your teeth and pull faces.
3. Softening the Throat:Finding your Voice (16/01/2026 – Sarah & Jan)
Using our voice to sound, sing, speak and express is one of the most beautiful gifts we share with each other as humans. And yet, allowing this to happen freely, has often been inhibited or suppressed due to unwelcoming or harsh circumstances. We learned to limit ourselves in order to please family members, educators, authorities, sometimes as a way to maintain belonging. What was a survival strategy as a child becomes a hindrance as an adult.
This session provides a safe and nurturing space with exercises designed to soften the throat and release blockages that might hinder you in finding your voice and speaking your truth. Breathing into and through this process often results in a renewed sense of power, freedom, and connection.
4. Opening the Chest: Connecting with the Power of the Heart (06/02/2026 – Sarah & Arne)
Some experiences of pain and heartache cause us to build protective barriers around our heart. While these emotional defense mechanisms once helped us to feel less distress, in later life they compromise our ability to truly and deeply connect with ourselves and others.
In this session we guide you through exercises aimed at opening the chest, loosening up the shoulders, and activating the arms and hands so that reaching out for loved ones, hugging and offering touch feels like a natural expression of love. Let us rediscover the joy of loving yourself and others, and celebrate the beauty of life.
5. Relaxing the Diaphragm:Connecting Heart with Pelvis (13/03/2026 – Jan & Arne)
The diaphragm is our main respiratory muscle. It’s a bridge that connects and, at the same time, separates the lower and upper parts of our bodies. The movement of the diaphragm is very much affected by emotional stress and traumatic experiences. It contracts when fear is present, and if this adds up over time and becomes chronic, the circumstances for anxiety are created. Furthermore, a tense diaphragm can interrupt the energy flow between the lower and upper body parts, resulting in the decrease of vital life force and a reduced sense of grounding.
In this session we will guide you through gentle movements and explore deep, diaphragmatic breathing in order to enhance relaxation and vitality. A renewed connection between your heart and your pelvis will have a big impact on your general well-being.
6. Untightening the Belly: Accessing Sensitivity (24/04/2026 – Sarah & Arne)
The belly with all its internal organs is a sensitive and vulnerable part of the body. The scull protects the brain, the ribcage protects the upper organs, but there’s only a thin layer of muscles, fascia, and skin that protects the lower digestive organs. A primordial instinct to guard this area is intensified by a culture that promotes flat bellies and sixpacks through advertising and distorted body images. Many people have learned to keep the abdominal muscles in constant contraction and by doing so, limit their experiences of trust, surrender and sensitivity.
In this session we introduce gentle massage exercises and breathing techniques that relax and soften the abdomen so that you can experience the power and the beauty of healthy guts, such as a strong immune system and a fine-tuned instinct/ intuition.
7. Releasing PelvicTension: Activating Life Force (22/05/2025 – Sarah & Jan)
According to the yogic traditions and the teachings of energy centers (chakras), our vitality resides in the lower chakras, especially in the root. When energy gets blocked here due to traumatic experiences or a general disconnection to this area, our life force energy can lose its natural strength.
In this session we will focus on loosening up the pelvis and releasing tension that might have built up over many years. Through movement, shaking, and breathing, we support our bodies in enabling their own flow of energy so that we can reconnect to a state of aliveness, grounding, and sovereignty.
· Arriving and grounding: Through and short guided meditation you can connect with yourself and the space.
· Group connection: During the opening circle, we make space to get acquainted with each other and share intentions. We open the space for the ceremony.
· Discussion of method and theme: We go deeper into the topic of the evening and give some tips to support the breath circle.
· Preparatory exercises: Specific exercises to energetically connect and activate throat/heart/pelvis.
· Breath Circle: Harnessing the power of collective breath work, traveling through resistance and opening to more freedom.
· SharingCircle: Reflection, connection and meaningful conversations during a closing circle (sharing is optional). We provide some snacks and tea and close the ceremony.

As humans, we like to identify with the most recent part of our brain, the neo cortex. However, one might argue that our day to day experiences are at least as much influenced by the mechanisms of our mammalian brain that processes our emotions and of the reptilian brain, that is amongst other things responsible for our survival through governing our fight, flight and freeze responses, a function of our autonomous nervous system.
For animals in the wild, the fight/flight/freeze responses are indispensable assets, as it enables them to respond efficiently to situations that threaten their lives. For humans though, the interruption of the natural flow of this responses causes a lot of side effects that have a debilitating effect on our daily functioning.
Now how does this work?
When an animal encounters danger, a large amount of hormones an neurotransmitters are released, that in their turn cause a number of physiological changes to occur. Our heart rate increases, the blood pressure increases, breathing rate accelerates, muscles become more tensed, we start sweating, digestion is put on a halt, ... all serving to heighten out chances of survival. Once the danger has subsided, animals typically shake off the excess energy and return to a state of calm. This natural discharge of stress ensures that their nervous system resets, preventing the accumulation of chronic tension.
For humans, however, it’s a whole different story. Our modern lives, tons of unavoidable stressors(traffic, bills that can’t be paid, an argument with your partner, office stress, loud noises, ...) trigger these responses, but societal norms discourage physical reactions like running or fighting, resulting in a lack of physical outlet. In other words, the natural process is interrupted. When the energy isn’t discharged, it is stored in the body through muscular tensions. Blocked energy in the body tissues manifests itself in the form of restricted breathing patterns, self-limiting beliefs, blocked emotional expression and muscular tensions, all resulting in a disconnectedness from self. We experience this asa lack of energy, stress and anxiety, helplessness, motivational issues, negative thought flows and all kinds of psychosomatic disorders.
With deep connected breathing, the breathing method we apply in our ceremonies, we can re-activate these old parts and awaken the stored up energy. This can express itself in a myriad of ways, like a feeling of pressure on the chest, a warm shoulder, constrictions in the diaphragm, warm legs, a cold upper body, a throat that feels restricted,... Through our felt sense (with which we feel things inside our body, for example hunger), we can track this energetical activity.Subsequently, we use movement, touch, emotional expression to free up and release the energy and thus complete the fight/flight/freeze activation. The energetical blockages resolve and our energy can flow freely again, resulting in more energy, a feeling of wholeness, connectedness, self-love and deep relaxation
Please note that, as outlined in our terms and conditions, we’re unable to offer reimbursements for workshops or courses if a participant cannot attend, as this helps us honor the time and dedication of our teachers and facilitators.
