In this first session with Tim you will locate your internal locks and drop into your breath to free your practice. You will establish yourself firmly in the foundations of breath with a clear physical understanding of the use of the inner body bandhas. You will learn simple breathing to help your body find deep support and true strength, for your mind to settle into one-pointed focus and to free your body. 10:30-12:30 The Subtle Body - Breath & Pranayama - Part I (2hrs)
Come take a dive into the underlying power of your yoga practice. Ashtanga’s four essential limbs Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana - yogic breath, sense management, concentration and meditation - roots us deeper into our asana practice, offers powerful insights as well as deep healing and health benefits. You will learn simple identify the meditative mind, classic Ujjayi breathing, Pranayama's vibrant effect on your body, mind and heart and more. We will lay the ground for a thorough practical understanding and application of these transformational principles with the intend to amplify the positive effects you experience in your asana practice. All levels welcome.
14:00-16:00 Jumping, Walking, Rolling, and Floating - Transitions in Practice (2.5hrs)
In Ashtanga’s Vinyasa style practice, we spend almost as much time transitioning between postures as we do holding these individually. In this workshop, we will explore the many types of transitions we experience in practice. Starting with floating in Surya Namaskara, then to the illusive (and challenging) seated jump throughs and jump backs, and finally into the more complex entrances to arm balances and inversions. We will understand how and where to use strength and stability while creating lightness and ease in the body and mind. Come with a sense of adventure! All Levels Welcome.

12:00-14:00 The Subtle Body - Breath & Pranayama - Part II (2hrs)
We continue where we left off yesterday, focussing on gateway principles to connect your internal with your external. We will further anchor yesterday’s learning and begin to apply your discoveries to the golden principle of Tristhana - Ashtanga Three Pillars - as well as light inquiries into how to apply the subtle connections into physical asana. All levels welcome.
Tim Feldmann teaches Ashtanga Yoga as a practical tool to healing our body and mind, as well as a way to navigate life. Tim has been practicing yoga since 1994 and was recently Certified to teach from Sharath’s Yoga Centre in Mysore (2025). A practitioner of the Advanced A Series, Tim finds Ashtanga’s traditional method an exceptional path towards healing, wisdom and self-realization. Drawing upon his past as an internationally successful dancer and acclaimed choreographer, anatomy, alignment and technique form an integral part of his teaching. Tim has been studying Patañjali’s Sutras, Sankhya, Bhagavad Gita, Vedanta and key supporting texts for more than a decade with renowned scholars in South India. He uses his palpable insights as an Ashtanga practitioner to inform his philosophical teachings. Cherished worldwide for his fun, disciplined and detailed pursuit of authentic yoga and his compassionately effective touch, Tim demonstrates how practice, study and dedication are the means to powerful transformation inside out.
