Breathing together in group
Certain situations or events in life can be so overwhelming that we push them away. However, when the energy cannot find a way out, our body stores it. This tension settles as blocked energy in the body tissues and manifests itself in the form of restricted breathing and tension in the body. As a result, we experience a lack of energy, stress, anxiety, negative thought flows and all kinds of psychosomatic disorders. Through breathing, we break through those different layers of body armour and we can release mental, emotional and physical blockages in the deepest core, putting you back in touch with your deepest self.
We start a Breath Ceremony withan active movement meditation to activate the body and awaken the life energy. We then breathe in group according to theBiodynamic Breath and Trauma Release System® method (BBTRS). This revolutionary breath and body therapy integrates deep connected breathing with bodywork, movement, awareness techniques and meditation. Together, they form an integrated flow that releases stuck tension in the body and head.
Biodynamic breathing is an invitation to deepen your breath to connect with your true self. Your breath makes you aware that whatever is stuck in your life right now, wants to move. Step by step, you learn to release tension in your body.
During a Breath Ceremony, we offer you a safe space and support you in the free expression of your emotions. This releases the energy and removes blockages. In this way, a Breath Ceremony helps you experience again the full range of feelings that we as human beings have at our disposal. It makes your energy flow freely again. There is are structuring at the cellular level, an opening of the spine and a release of chronic tension in the nervous system. As a result, your emotional and physical backpack suddenly feels a lot lighter after a breathing session.
The BBTR® system has its rootsWilhelm Reich's body-oriented therapy, Bio-Energetics by Alexander Lowen, PeterLevine's trauma healing method, Polyvagal Theory by Stephen Porges and Dr. Bercelli's Trauma Release Excercises.
Facilitators:
Arne Daniëls graduated as a criminologist and subsequently worked for years in the social sector. Ten years ago he started with Ashtanga Yoga and since then he has done numerous courses exploring the relationship between mind, body and breath. Thanks to his experience as a bodyworker, breath worker, trauma therapist and yogi, he offers holistic support. Key words in his vision are autonomy and self-reliance. Healing cannot be handed over. His focus is on teaching students techniques that they can use themselves, and on providing a safe space in which growth and healing can take place.
