METHODOLOGIES OF YOGA THROUGH HISTORY

A fascinating exploration of the many forms of yoga that have developed throughout history, drawing gems of inspiration and practice that we can immediately apply to our lives. One fruit of the workshop will be a thorough understanding of the differences and peculiarities of the various forms of yoga (Raja yoga, Karma yoga, Mantra yoga, Laya yoga, etc.) We will learn to draw elements from this ancient wisdom of yoga that can enrich our own lives and our practice.

Thursday 11th of February
Session 2: 13.00-16.00

INTEGRATING YOGA INTO DAILY LIFE

One of the wonderful challenges of yoga practice is how to integrate it with the rest of our lives, how do we make our entire life into a yoga practice, so we can grow in self- awareness and fulfilment? This workshop explores the inner dynamics of the journey and provides helpful, practical guidance to do just that.

Friday 12th of February
Session 3: 13.15-16.15

DHARMA

What is right and what is wrong? How can we confront the dilemmas that life often presents to us. Well beyond the theoretical, this workshop explores the traditional wisdom on the topic of dharma, or ethics, and extracts valuable guidance for life. The theoretical understanding is then applied to one or more real-life examples.

Saturday 13th of February
Session 4: 9.30-12.30, 14.00-17.00
MEDITATION THROUGH THE 3 GUNAS

The 3 gunas are a traditional way of looking at reality with broad implications for yoga practice. When applied to meditation, they become a lens through which we can explore and navigate the entire range of experiences and approaches. This workshop will help us not only to broaden our understanding of meditation, but also to find ways of dealing with the environment, the various challenges we may encounter in medita- tion practice and the various possibilities to enter the heart of the practice.

Sunday 14th of February
Session 5: 9.30-12.30, 14.00-17.00

SPANDA: THE PULSATION OF LIFE (SPANDA KARIKAS)

What is the secret of the tremendous display of energy behind all natural phenom- ena? What is that power which enlivens our senses and our mind? What is the vitality behind our consciousness? How can we be in contact with the source of energy and happiness? Drawing from one of the fundamental texts of Tantric Shaivism in Kashmir, this course explores the very foundation of life and the universe, unveiling powerful insights and a variety of transformative practices that have the potential to radically transform and enrich our lives.

** All hours of these workshops are recognized Anusara yoga study hours.
