Damien has studied with Wuo Tai founder, Rolland Combes for over 3 years and has been granted permission to teach the 1st 3 levels of the Wuo Tai system. In his approach he offers a distilled synthesis of his 25 years experience in the fields of yoga, movement, massage and psychology, so you don't have to study for so long and can enjoy the benefits much faster.
A synthesis of various disciplines harvested on the journey across continents and influenced by asia, Wuo Tai wants to be “new” and began to sprout around 2003. It doesn’t require any specific physical condition and is practiced at any age.
Wuo Tai brings flexibility, strength, agility, and balance. The magic of Wuo Tai is to simply discover that we receive what we give.
This momentum of gestures and sharings broadcasts in us a Buddhattitude, enchantment, life force and self-respect.
“ The greatest power in the universe is kindness” Rolland Combes
“And remember that the universe needs you more than you need her” Rolland Combes
Damien De Bastier (US, Bali)
Damien de Bastier, authorized Ashtanga teacher, is the owner of Samadi Bali, a beautiful centre for wellbeing including a Yoga school that offers daily Mysore classes in Canggu (Bali, the islands of the gods).
He has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 24 years. It was love at first stretch when he was introduced to Ashtanga yoga in 1998, as it combines his inclination for sports, meditation and self-inquiry.
Besides all that Damien is a great bodyworker. He has been practicing bodyworks since 2007 and graduated from the Santa Barbara Bodyworks massage school in Santa Barbara, California. In 2009 he worked as massage therapist on tour for the professional cycling team Rock Racing.
Today his approach to bodyworks is holistic as he integrates his backgrounds of psychology and yoga to assist his clients.
Damien is specialized in Wuo Tai, a massagetherapy based on the combination of dance and osteopathy, which is why we also call this practice “Osteo-dance”.
